Outerbridge Sound
An Island Group called ‘The Donder Isles.’ Dutch for thunder, because of continuous storms when the islands were discovered. Mainly one large Island, named after the captain of a Dutch ship who discovered the Islands in about fifteen sixty – Jannsen Island, or simply Jannsen.
Legends talk of a terrible curse that slaughters the inhabitants of the islands every hundred years or so. It all seems to be linked to a deep area of water, the sound. Some of the original Dutch colonists insisted that the water in the sound went right down to hell.
Our story starts when the next once a century disaster is a little overdue. A film crew are doing some pre-production work for a TV mini-series based on the mysterious monster of The Donder Isles……
